You can't out train a bad diet!
My macro journey started four years ago. I was one year postpartum and tipping the scale at almost 200 lbs. I knew something had to change. I didn’t recognize the person in the mirror anymore. In October of 2017, I joined a small gym in that had group fitness classes focusing on strength training. I was religious about going 5 days a week. January 2018 came and I got tired of not seeing results - you know why? My diet did not match my work ethic in the gym - wake up call! You can’t out-train a bad diet! I watched Lauren’s success in utilizing macros to help her reach her fitness goals. I started doing my research and found an app online that provided me with macros and adjusted my macros as needed.
By mid summer I reached 140 lbs and had increased my calories up to 2,000 by reverse dieting. Macros are sustainable and I am truly grateful to have found them! Macros for life!

I have been utilizing macro counting for over 6 years. Macro counting has repaired my relationship with food and given me results at the gym. Prior to macros, I was a cardio junkie and binge eater. I could diligently follow a restrictive meal plan during the week but all hell broke loose on the weekends.
Macros fit my lifestyle, I was a full time working mom and needed something that was sustainable. Macros allowed me to eat real food, enjoy dinners with my family and wine! I told a friend and I will tell you that prioritizing my health made me a better mom, wife, friend etc.
I stopped obsessing and started living!

I grew up in Eastern Europe, tiny country- Lithuania. I was involved with school track team, volleyball, cheerleading and competitive ballroom dancing/coach for 10 years through high school. Active lifestyle and eating well balanced diet was always a part of my life.
After becoming a mother to three amazing girls (twins + one) I put everything on hold and became a stay at home mama. While I Iove my family and am grateful for my life I lost myself along the way.
Something needed to change and that’s how I stumbled into YDM fitness and started to train with personal trainer
I fell in love with strength training, which led into competing in bodybuilding. I won my PRO card in 2019 and have been competing since. My journey included macro counting lifestyle, which I fell in love with as well. I realized that this sustainable way of understanding what your body needs is the way to go.
